Nice ambience

We spent a week at the Chateau des Vigiers and played all the courses available. We didn't like the Vallée course either, as the drainage in the valley is not sufficient to keep the fairways free of moisture. The other two courses, Lac and Vignes, are not too difficult and are pleasant to play as holiday courses. In mid-April, however, countless daisies bloom next to the fairways and if you deviate from them, it is difficult to find the ball. After mowing, however, this problem was solved. All in all, we can say that we spent a relaxing week here, and this applies both to the posh quarters and to the game of golf. The staff are friendly and very helpful. As all 3 courses have hardly any differences in altitude, you can get by with trolleys. In contrast to many other golf restaurants in France, which usually no longer serve food after 2 p.m., you can get snacks in the bistro between 2 and 5 p.m. As a holiday tip: it is worth visiting wineries and restaurants in the area.

Castle Park

Very spacious system with 3x9L, which are put together individually. We were supposed to be playing Vigne and Lake. Since some flights were in front of us at the junk, we were rebooked on the Vallee course and were able to play these 9L quickly. Vigne is very broad but not very demanding. Vallee has some more challenging lanes with water and varied lanes. Since we played Lake years ago, it is worth remembering that this course is very spacious with a few blind, challenging holes and great views of the castle grounds.
We found the greens to be in great condition. The fairways are still suffering from last year's drought but are nice to play with.
We didn't visit the restaurant, it seems to be busy and rather upscale. Unfortunately, it is not possible to stay overnight with the mobile home. We were served very friendly and would love to come back.

Worse than its reputation / September 2012

Certainly not the best place, with its 27 holes in Aquitaine.
Was played Vallee + Lac. Greens in Regulation, Fairways not be as expected. Still, worth a round if auc restricted hours.

Very nice club facility, but...

There are 3x9 hole which can be combined. Unfortunately, the course is "vallé" quite monotonous. Long, straight par 4's unspectacular. The "vigne" 9-hole we were played after somewhat more challenging and scenic. After all overall very well maintained and in good condition. The region and season according to the dry and rough like a abgeerntetes stubble but the fairways and greens top.
The resort is built around an old chateau and is very pitoresque and typical of the region. The restaurant and "19-hole" is very expensive.
The pictures on the internet does not entirely match the reality. But we must say that we were there in early August and water is precious here, honestly. Friendly service at the Secretariat.
