This time we have moved into quarters in Tampa, resulting in shorter distances for the journey to the good golf courses.
The two courses Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks are among the best you can play in Florida - without having to book a stay and play. They were number one on this year's Must List, it would have been our fifth round.
We were amazed when we wanted to book, the name has disappeared. The announcement that the club has been given a new name is one thing, the other thing is the renovation and new construction work that started in the spring - we were very surprised at times.
It takes a lot of courage, but also unshakable self-confidence, to touch a design by Tom Fazio.
Pine Barrens, the best, is due for a full refurbishment. Rollings Oaks will also get a facelift. Kyle Franz directs this work.
We used the clubhouse, it was okay, but certainly not up to the level of the courses.
They want to open in 2023 with two revitalized golf courses, a 9-hole par 3 and a great practice area. A new clubhouse and luxury properties for sale are also available.
