Flamingos Golf | 18 holes | Par 71 | 5.714m | Designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido, Flamingos Golf is characterized by its carefully conserved landscape with a large variety of trees, surrounding Villa Padierna Palace Hotel with beautiful views of the Mediterranean. The greens are generously sized whilst its fairways are somewhat narrower on the front nine, where more precision is required than on the back nine.

Alferini nice design poor quality

Villa Padierna Alferini.
Last day of our golfing trip and we expect the best and we got average over all, and I mean it in quality of golf course, not our game.
Once again I'm not going to check driving range which is a bit far away. Again very poor orientation signs, difficult to find 1st tee. Better marking would help. Caddy master here is doing horrible job, to pick up buggy is nightmare, we had no idea who was in charge. Very much valued was water and complimentary bananas, however not surprised since there is no refreshment cart on course and also for the price charged. Buggies without GPS or shot saver. Design of the course is very nice, uphill downhill shots, short par 3s and 4s, reachable par 5s. I like it very much, BUT quality is horrible, few fairways were damaged from wild boars, some greens damaged from deer. On this course you need to have very accurate shots, but from the green tees its quite short now. If I have to choose signature hole I would for sure say 18th.
After game amenities are OK, however worst part there is refreshment, they do not value guest, they do not care. Quality of the service and food was the worst from whole trip. Waitresses who are not able collet correctly order and bring the ordered food are just loosing potential to make any tip and losing customer. On top of that you coming to Spain to eat in restaurant poor pizza, pasta and burger with cold bun, what a disappointment, why. We came to have shrimps, fish, jamon and etc. So price/performance value here was very poor, and not planning to come again.

I had the pleasure to play this course in the past 5 months several times and it is always in top shape. Compliments to the management and green keeper team. The fairways are like a carpet, the greens very good and the overall landscape with its Tuscany touch just amazing. The service at Villa Padierna is always immaculate. Friendly, professional staff, well maintained, clean facilities, good food and beverage. The Flamingo course is surrounded by lovely houses, villas but still has the initial style of the Tuscan atmosphere. Partially a challenging course but lots of fun. I cannot wait to come back.

It has been a while since I have played on both of these courses, which are magnificent from an architectural point of view.
But: many completely run-down tees, many bare patches on the course, some bunkers as hard as concrete. Considering the state of maintenance, the green fee is totally overpriced.
At least parking is free.
Service: extremely long waiting times for a pre-ordered buggy that was very old. Poor facilities for washing rackets.
Driving range: used and improperly washed balls, holey ball baskets.
The cruelest part: the short game area, you have to play on dirt, I can't put it any other way. Grass grows in one bunker, the other is rock hard, broken rakes.
The whole thing shows a complete lack of respect for the customers.
