Our visit was a few years ago. Years ago, when no one in Adare Manor knew that they would one day host the Ryder Cup, the course was already a parkland giant. When I look at the current pictures of the course on the website, the course is even better! However, I also saw the current green fee for Adare Manor on the website (€500 for 18 holes!!!)!
Until 2022, Ireland was one of the fairest price-performance countries for world-class golf!
Unfortunately, green fees on the Emerald Isle have exploded! Almost every coastal course is well over €100! In some cases, the fees have tripled. Despite this, Ireland remains one of my favorite golfing countries! I have often dug deep into my pockets for top courses. Just €500 for Adare Manor is €300 to €250 too much!

We played the golf course at the beginning of June 2024 and really had a lasting and wonderful golfing experience. The golf course is rather short - usually an unmistakable indication that the greens are difficult to play - and it turned out to be true. The greens are very fast, very undulating and elevated. - Adare Manor Golf Club 18 holes Par 69. is the older - 117 years old

We stayed here in 1998 - once at The Golf Course at Adare Manor - and played the two courses several times - three years after the opening of The Golf Course at Adare Manor.
The course built by Robert Trent Jones Sr. was already one of the best 20 courses in Ireland.
This stay is remembered for several reasons:
The then very elegant hotel was not able after our arrival shortly after 20 o'clock to serve us a dinner. In the bar we were allowed to enjoy sandwiches...
The hotel room - a suite - was full of insects in our reference - the grates were broken.
On the first day of golf I was asked to change my metal spikes - that was still the case at the time - for the first time in my golfing life.
The course of Robert Trent Jones we liked very much, but the scores were modest. He was very hard to play.
All this led to a conclusion in our notes: we were once here, but not again...
That top course even those of Robert Trent Jones have a short half-life and that here massively built for the Ryder Cup left us curious.
