Played 3/18 Like Troon, Boulders is overrated when you follow the golf books.

The course "The Boulders" is located in north Scottsdale, you drive across virtually the Scottsdale Road straight ahead and suddenly you're there.
One can easily say that the service, the range, the system, the organization (no drives up to the 1st tee before it is not on it) 1a. Throughout the game, you have the impression to be all alone in this place because the distances are set up so that you do not get into the enclosure with other flights. Between the individual lanes at times beautiful long distances, while the classic ride you can enjoy the wonderful good investment. The course is part of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, but honestly, you realize nothing of it because the buildings on the property are in the style of the rock and kept so discreet and withdrawn embedded in the system, because you have to look very carefully to find them.
The condition of the entire system (tee boxes, greens, water hazards, bushes, stones, fairways, cacti, paths, trails, flowers, palm trees, rocks etc etc) are a ne plus ultra and the wealth of ideas in the construction of a golf course sometimes knows really no limits (a big fat Saguaro cactus in the middle of a bunker --- amazing). One has the impression as if swept just before a someone's place again quickly and combed. This then led also one that is temporarily occupied with more pictures than to take care of his game.
Who now thinks it would be easy to play here, I have to disappoint you: this is a really tough nut to crack but worth every stroke. Target Golf impresses with its deliberate game and here you have a wonderful opportunity to sample all his rackets and bag content to apply his sense of a place. Caution and courage you need and if one uses both correct, then you will be rewarded. Not doing so, you should stay away there.
Important: take enough balls, because here no one gets back the balls went into the vegetation (not just because of the cactus make it a temporarily go into the thicket simply impossible, there are also rattlesnakes ...)
