Well-maintained 9-hole course with plenty of water

Played on March 24,2025. The flat 9-hole course (PAR 36) with a spacious driving range is located approximately 20 kilometers from Dubai International Airport, in the heart of the Emirate of Sharjah. Sharjah Airport is right next to the course, so taking off planes occasionally fly overhead – and air traffic is surprisingly busy. Furthermore, the course is located in the immediate vicinity of a motorway junction, which is noticeable on some holes. So much for the potential disadvantages. The golf course is well signposted and has a very large parking lot belonging to an event hall, which you partially play around. The course was generally well maintained. While there were a few bare patches and some overgrowth on the fairways, the course was in decent condition overall. The greens in particular were outstanding – fast, true to the track, and in immaculate condition. The bunkers, some of which are impressive in size, stood out with their brilliant white sand and perfect preparation. The course layout is varied and is characterized primarily by numerous water hazards that come into play on almost every hole. Thanks to different tee-off options, even a second 9-hole round remains exciting. Visual boards at the tees provide good orientation. For a 9-hole course, the clubhouse is impressively large, as it serves more than just the golf course. It even has a spacious swimming pool. The changing rooms and restroom facilities were also excellent. You also pass a halfway house twice during the round. Tee times can be booked and paid for online via the club website during the week. We paid the equivalent of around €50 for the 9-hole round, including a cart with GPS. In addition, the usual association fee of around €2.50 had to be paid on site. The Pro Shop, located below the clubhouse, was staffed by friendly and uncomplicated staff. Upon arrival, our bags were taken from us directly at the clubhouse and brought to the cart, but no other services were apparent. There was no starter, but the marshal was conspicuously present and occasionally urged the flight ahead of us to hurry. Play was rather light on this Monday afternoon, however. Thanks to the floodlights, you can also play after sunset, although tee times cannot be booked online. Conclusion: A very good 9-hole course that's definitely worth checking out.

If you play 2x 9 holes, the tee boxes are marked with different colors. The first nine from the white tees, the second nine from the blue. The course is also rated this way.
The course is impeccable, with wide fairways, no rough worth mentioning, top bunkers, well undulating greens and relatively fast. Water often comes into play, particularly on the long par 4s where there is usually water in front of the green.
Unfortunately, I didn't particularly like the layout of the place, it was too monotonous, hence only 3 stars.
The very nice training facilities are worth mentioning.

We shot a beautiful 9-hole evening round with floodlit car in the Emirate of Sharjah or Šāriqa / Sharjah! Real big water hazards and palm trees come into play! For me a super 9-hole course in top condition, which also deserves 5 stars!

It was a hot floodlit circuit at 38 degrees. The club is not as posh as the one in Dubai and the carts are not the newest, but the price-performance ratio is great. We also loved the place. What we hadn't strapped in before, the place is no longer in Dubai, but in another emirate. During the taxi ride it was exciting to see how everything changes outside. No more skyscrapers, all the splendor is gone, you can see normal Arab life. But it's still only a few kilometers away. Ordering a taxi for the return trip also went smoothly, as did booking by email beforehand.
It is highly recommended as an inexpensive alternative to the Dubai squares.
