Place with 2 faces- the second

Four of us played this course on August 27,2024.

The first 9 holes were not very spectacular, they were more like a sports field and had no links character at all. Overall, 9 boring holes, but still very difficult! The bunkers should be avoided at all costs, otherwise your score for the round will be ruined.

You really get your money's worth on the second 9. The course here has a real links style, although you can't really see the sea here either.

The condition of the course was average to good, the practice facilities were rather below average (no driving range).

In the clubhouse and on the course we met extremely helpful and always friendly people (like everywhere in Wales!).

I find the green fee (100 pounds, for Tuesdays) too high compared to other courses.

Overall, the four of us were rather disappointed and had expected more. During the week we also played the courses in Pennard, Machynys and Ashburnham, all of which impressed us more.

Solid

A solid link. If you are in the area, you should definitely play it. Sea view you have not in my memory. Is perhaps very subjective, but a really lasting impression of the course has not made on me.

5 holes Dunes Golf

An old links of the holes 11-16 is especially interesting, since these paths lead through the dunes. Overall a nice old place!

Many thanks for taking the time to review our course. With the British Amateur coming here in 2016 hopefully South Wales will become a popular golfing destination.
