Characteristics
This wonderful course winds through best residential area with views on elegant villas of Vilamouras. The course calls for a lot of precision. Pinhai alternates between taking course over flat and hilly area. Many fairways are lined by trees, others however give a beautiful view on the sea. In 1985 the course was modified by Trent Jones.

Golf between pine trees and houses

Unfortunately, I cannot agree with the previous reviewer's excellent course maintenance; some of the tee boxes were extremely unsightly, the so-called pond next to green 4 is a unique, ugly stone desert and some of the fairways are also full of different types of grass.
I also didn't particularly like having to cross access roads several times.
Otherwise: Greens are very undulating, very bumpy and therefore not true to the course. Fairways are varied and bordered by numerous rows of pine trees and, unfortunately, there are houses very close to the fairways.
Nevertheless, it was enough for 3 stars because the layout of the fairways was interesting at times.

At the end of May 2023 we played the Pinhal Golf Course Dom Pedro Tees and greens in very good condition, the greens are very heavily undulated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The course is easy to play and a lot of fun. A lot of pine trees are also in the faireway, few water hazards The buggies are all overhauled and top.
Clubhouse with terrace very nice and good food...

I can only agree with the previous ones, We played a really enjoyable round with a Canadian couple. The place is simple, but very well maintained, there is nothing to complain about, the price is right. Unfortunately, the clubhouse and the restaurant are very old and have zero atmosphere.
