A golf course to play in Hua Hin. Very well maintained and holes are full of variations. We enjoyed playing every hole...

Great place, service still has room for improvement.
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed April 2, 2024
Played on March 18,2024. The 18-hole course, recently renamed from Banyan to Pinapple Valley, is located just a few kilometers from the coast in the south of Hua Hin. To get to the club you drive past some built-up properties and many undeveloped properties or properties that have been disused during construction. To put it bluntly, it is definitely the best place in Hua Hin and deserves 5 stars, however the service is weak, hence only 4 stars. When you arrive at the clubhouse, you pay your green fee (the most expensive course in the region with a standard green fee of 3,800 bath/€90) in the separate building where the pro shop is located. A cart (at least with GPS and a small bottle of water with an ice box) costs 750 Bath. A cart is not absolutely necessary, but the place has a few height differences. The employees in the pro shop were busy and friendly. As far as other service was concerned, it was rather weak. When we arrived or left, the bags were not taken from us or brought to the car. Nobody asked about our start time. When it was time to start, there were no carts available. The caddies and the starter seemed a bit overwhelmed. It wasn't clear when we should start. There was a very large group of players in front of us ready to start. Suddenly we were supposed to leave ahead of this group 10 minutes before our start time. A hustle and bustle broke out! We were grateful for the cold start, but we ran into the four-man flights in front of us on the third lane. We then waited at every hole until the 18th, so the round took around 4.5 hours. A marshal was visible, but he preferred to control the caddies rather than encourage the players in front of us to play faster. So we had plenty of time to take beautiful photos of the beautiful complex. Due to the constantly increased discounts, there were many photo opportunities. Even our caddies, who were quite good, lost their motivation as the round progressed. The course offers all options for golfers. Water hazards, bunkers, trees (some in the middle of the fairway) as well as well-undulating and fast greens. Due to good irrigation, the fairways were lush green. A few knockoffs showed the usual signs of wear. The bunkers with good light sand. Different tee options are offered. The women's tees are very fair and are usually a little further forward. There are plenty of toilets and refreshment stations along the route. As already mentioned, the game activity was very high despite the recent postseason. The clubhouse is divided into different areas. The locker rooms are very modern and comfortable. There is a pub area for post-round drinks and a restaurant area overlooking the course. We ate something there. The prices are definitely higher compared to Thailand but affordable. Maybe we made the wrong choice with two fish dishes, but the quality and quantity were not good. My wife's tuna was still frozen on the plate and my sea brass fillet was fried to death. Accordingly, we at least complained about the tuna. We expected better from the renowned club. Conclusion: Super great place in an undeveloped, quiet landscape. The service has potential for improvement

Beautiful Place
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 6, 2024
Played on February 6th, 2024, a beautiful, hilly and varied course. Condition of the facility was good. Only the somewhat grumpy receptionist prevented 5 stars; must have had a bad day...

My favorite in Hua Hin
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 9, 2020
We played the course on January 8th, 2020. A beautiful, slightly hilly golf course with a view of the valley. The course condition was very good despite the continuing drought and could be played optimally. Good caddy ladies and no traffic jams and waiting times on the pitch, although the high season and the pitch were full. Nice staff, a great club house with a great terrace and a wonderful view. Good value for money compared to the other courses we played and by far the best of the three courses we played in Hua Hin. All around a wonderful day of golf and highly recommended.

Great Place
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 10, 2019
Excellent golf course with beautiful architecture of the clubhouse, great gastro, nice and friendly staff.
Place very well maintained, very beautiful fairways, great bunkers with soft sand and excellent, sometimes huge greens, undulating and fast.
Casino very fair, place length of "blue" (2nd longest tee) 6.100 m long. Water hazards strategically dangerous but feasible!
The most beautiful fairway the 10, a heavy par 4
A great golfing experience

The Best!
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 3, 2019
Must have played! Overall, certainly the best place to Hua Hin. Even before Black Mountain, as there are always very far with Carts the paths to the balls (carts only on the trails!). Darting fast difficult greens that are certainly not necessarily suitable for beginners, just as little as the permanent slopes on the fairways. Care condition excellent! Very good caddies! Incredibly friendly staff, no matter if starter, Marshall, front desk! Great clubhouse with breathtaking views over the square! Total 10 out of 10!!! I've played the course a mo Art long every morning and despite the high greenfees etc only absolutely every golfer to advise the place to enjoy!

All in all a great experience
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed December 26, 2018
We had the pleasure on 25.12.18. Very friendly and professional welcome, but a bit arrogant for Thai standards. Caddies very friendly, that's about it. The place is well maintained the greens in very good condition, fast and hard to read. I would have liked better support from the caddies. The rear nine also convince scenic. Unfortunately, in the clubhouse was a loud music event of the "on a few lanes" was allowed to attend. Once again, thanks to the club secretariat for their understanding and professionalism. Due to a booking error on my part, I would have to pay again.
I was spared.

Banyan gc
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed April 12, 2018
Hello.
Played the Banyan gc in hua on 12.4.18 again. The complex is beautiful.. really a eye catcher... Everything was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, I have to make a few compromises with the greens. They were in bad shape for the second time now. Therefore, the price of the greenfee is not justified. If I compare that to springfield or sea pine... banyan has to go one better...

Best Place
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 23, 2017
We played Banyan on the 13th and 17th of November 2017. Both Banyan and Black Mountian are absolute top places for us. It is a personal decision which of the two courses is the best in Hua Hin. Both of them were top players, the greens are in our opinion more difficult at Banyan than at BM. The Caddy's were between circle class and world class, here you have to be lucky in the raffle :-).

Top Layout, super fast greens. I stuck strictly to the advice of my caddy, otherwise I would have experienced a putt disaster.

I can only agree with Mr Backtee67. Our lap was Golf pure enjoyment, this property is a must for golf enthusiasts. And who complains about the price, which should even go to Turkey, because you get less for more money!

Best of Hua Hin
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 5, 2016
We played the beginning of November 16, the best 6 golf courses in Hua Hin, including Banyan is in all respects by far the best place! (Sorry, but it is Black Mountain streets ahead!) The Buggis have GPS, the caddy experience and you could and could drive to the beautiful manicured fairways. The greens perfectly and also alongside the fairways all in top form. but particularly the layout! Never a dull moment and place is also playing sexy and fair. We play for 25 years around the world and Banyan is one of the top 10 courses in the world!

Place with very varied tracks very sensitively built into nature. Despite low season (rainy season) in excellent maintenance condition. Greens very, very quickly. Value prima. € 45 green fee for such a place, a bargain.

Best place in Hua Hin
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 19, 2013
Whenever I'm in the way Golfer's stronghold Hua, I play most often the Banyan Course. Its rich layout of a change, the good care condition, the magnificent views and experienced caddies liked me better than eg Black Mountains. Especially here, there's no construction noise, as in Black Mountain, and the caddies know their place m. E. better. The only inconvenience is the amount of Green fees - still worth 5 stars!

Good place - the price is not justified
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 2, 2013
He is very nice, the Banyan Golf Course - but hard to play with very fast greens. It is not clear, however, making the high green fees should be justified.

Beautiful place, but not for high handicapper
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 30, 2013
The Banyan course is beautiful and has many challenges. The landscape is very hilly fairways, but also correspondingly wide. Only a few water hazards, but all the deep bunkers. Very high handicapper will possibly get their difficulties, as from time to time but carry great lengths werrden required. The changing rooms and showers are ok. The restaurant is also good, but priced a bit higher than other golf clubs. Green fee is currently 3850 baht with E-Caddy and Caddy (the lady at the end, however, should get at least 300 baht). Right now the place is super booked and we had to wait a few times today (nuisance). Overall, we were satisfied with the Black Mountain course, all in all, so only 4 stars. But the pudding is in the eating yes. A nice game!

Good but not the best!
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 11, 2011
After I return home straight with actual impressions of the course is for me the clear number 1 in Hua Hin, the Black Mountain!
The layout is much spektakulaerer and the scenery impressive!
Great price, but not for the price in Thailand!
