Old Padeswood Golf Club

This jewel located only 10 miles west of the ancient Roman city of Chester just over the border into Wales and 3 minutes off the A55 expressway leading to Snowdonia and Anglesey is a great place to drop off to on your way up the coast. You arrive at the course expecting a parkland track only to discover a real enigma. There are times that you have to pinch yourself as you start thinking you are playing a links. Golf was first played here 100 years ago it is a decent course in good condition it has one of the most difficult opening holes in N Wales and two of the most memorable finishing holes frequently commented upon by visitors to this friendly club that serves excellent food prepared by the in house chef using fresh locally sourced ingredients. Treat yourself and take the time to enjoy the tremendous views of the Clwydian mountain range and test your skills against this very fair golfing challenge then follow it up with a wholesome meal in the club the atmosphere in the clubhouse is really buzzing since the appointment of a new chef in February 09
