Characteristics
Alinks-course in direct vicinity to the city. A classic with an international standard, lots of charm and pines, giving shadow. Despite the time-honoured history of the club and the prestigious location it remained a sportive and friendly club.

Disapoiting course

Played the 9 hole course (Grand Duc). It was the worse course I have played to date. There is no clear path between the orders of the holes. Many players were simply lost. I did not find the 7th tee and gave up. Besides, the course gives the impression of not being mainteined, at all. Filthy greens and very bumpy fairways.
Not worth spending 35€.
Nice 18 - Calamitous 9

While the 18 holes is very nice and worth being played, the 9 holes (Grand Duc) is the worst 9 holes I have ever played.
It is in bad conditions, the course takes you to unwelcome parts of the golf and some holes are more pitch & put holes than true 9 holes.
To play 9 holes, I would advise to go to La Provencale (Biot).
Conclusion : the 18 holes definitely, the Grand Duc never again!

A flat, treelined course, too short to be enjoyed by others than elderly golfers, thus only one rating star. The old, charming club house and, not to forget, the precense of the crossing of a channel by a hand operated ferry yields the second rating star.
