Played there in June 2015.
If you consider this par 68 parkland course as a warm up! Then this course deserves it's three stars.
A lot of short par 4s but also 2 very long and tough ones! Might look easy on the card but it's not. Some killer par 3s in there as well.
Condition was very good on tee's and fws. Greens were true but a little bit slow.

The history of the golf course is impressive. Many major tournaments have been played here - including the British Open ( "The Open"). The place has lost much of its luster. Although the fairways and greens are in good condition, but the ambiance does not match the aura of a great golf course. The service around it and certainly not (what service? ..) Meanwhile, it's just an ordinary, profane Welsh golf course. The price for a round is however ok. But anyone who thinks that the history of the place and the broadcast of the St. Pierre Marriott Hotel well worth a visit, which will be sorely disappointed. The hotel is lousy, old and a single-friendliness free zone. So if you still want to play on the court, then they look for another hotel...
