For everyone

This course is not for a low handicapper. It is intended for people on holiday or local people who enjoy the exercise and the social side of golf.

The first 9 has a couple of decent long holes, but 3 holes are within an area hemmed in by apartments and the golf range. They are around the perimeter of a man made lake. They can be entertaining.

The back nine is a far better challenge. There are some long holes, awkward dog legs and once again water. One of the par 3's is an island green and is difficult to get on directly from the tee.

The golf course is next to the shoreline and can be windy at times. Personally I enjoy this as it takes a little bit more thought.
As the course caters for all handicappers, and some handicaps in Europe are higher than the UK standard 24... you may often encounter slow play.

That said it is usually dry and sunny so sometimes you have to just take it easy.
Don't expect etiquette to be observed as many golfers don't seem to be aware of it. Eg being asked to play through. It can be the same at my own home golf club in the UK.
It is a lovely drive from Granada or Nerja along the motorway, usually very little traffic, and the scenery through the mountains is lovely.
After a round I actually look forward to driving back westwards in the evening. It is a good day out. What more do you want?

Golf Card is not accepted

The Albrecht Golf Card was not accepted, even though we had stated when reserving tee times that we wanted to use the card and the discount. We paid the full green fee. When we asked for another discount, we were not given one. Are you lured to the course under false pretenses? The course is OK. Unfortunately, the other players are very inconsiderate. They play behind the ball without considering the players in front of you and push.

Course condition significantly improved!

Played there again after 1.5 years. The course is in far better condition than it was 18 months ago. The fairways are now clean and the greens are easy to play despite the lack of water in Andalusia. However, the paths through the hotel complex and access roads continue to be annoying here and there. Place is easy to walk - perfectly flat. €95 for a married couple is ok.
