Was told not to go... wish I listened!

I’ve played Long Reef 3 or 4 times now, and 50% of those I’ve given up and walked in due to slow play, people not understanding how to play, and dangerous play. Today add to this list with poor management too.
Too many people think that 3.5hrs for 9 holes is ok... including the management! The views are simply not good enough to suffer Military Road and Sydney traffic with all the points already mentioned. It simply isn’t a good enough course to suffer all of this.
My girlfriend warned me that the last time I went there I said “never again” and I stupidly thought she was talking about the wrong course. I wish I’d listened!! NEVER EVER EVER again.

The course is on a beautiful spot. The view is perfect.
The holes are good and the conditions are ok.
The price is higher then on the website.
18holes- 50AUD however all in all the course is amazing and perfect to play also for beginners.

Spectacular Long Reef Golf Club

I have played Long Reef Golf Club 3 times over the past 8 months and believe this is the best golf course on Sydney's northern beaches. It has spectacular views and each hole is interesting and challenging. The greens are the best I have played on in many years and for a public golf course the greens are fast and outstanding. The fairways have beautiful grass cover in almost perfect condition.
After golf we enjoyed the wonderful clubhouse which is set overlooking the ocean and enjoyed lunch. I highly recommend a visit to this great golf course when in Sydney
