Three courses, the 18-hole-championship course( Haugschlag & Waldviertel) in Haugschlag and the 18-hole-compact course in Litschau (10 ha) offer the adequate level of difficulty for every golfer. The Course Waldviertel was threetimes the site for the ""Austrian Open"" and has been distinguishes as the ""golf course of the year"" multiple times."

This resort was always known as one of the best. To me it is now kind of old glory. I have to admit that in this hot weather they still keep it nicely green. Both courses are nice. With great holes especially 9th and 18th. They give opportunity to score. Greens were fast enough without bad spots. Fairways were not as good, also tee boxes were bit poor. There are huge amenities like welness and nice hotel. And thats were the good thing ends. Restaurants offer is horrible as well as service. Only the breakfast were good. When it come to hotel, I have to say that there is lot of mistakes in organization and they are not much customer oriented. The best is to comunicate only in german even they advertise communication in Czech and English. At the end we find the solution with manager, but we felt like not welcome. This resort is good for austrian retirement people.

Worth mentioning are the beautiful fairway suites, which you should treat yourself to and the reasonable prices, for which something is really on offer. We were there for three days and played the two house courses and the course in the Czech Republic, unlimited golf, half board.
The service and friendliness of all employees speaks for itself. In the restaurant and at breakfast there is always time for two/three sentences with the guests. That goes down very well! The food was in accordance with the hotel category. If you want, you will always find something to complain about. Mega yummy the ice cream! Definitely try. :-) The room was spotless.
But now to the important thing: the golf courses. Overall, the pitches are very spacious. A cart is recommended for those who don't want to or can't walk far.
Course Waldviertel, which we walked to play beautifully. Varied, beautiful woodland, memorable discounts.
What to write about Course Haugschlag? Multiple awards. There's a reason for that.
The highlight for us was the e-cart ride to the Monachus golf course. The ride alone was fun. The place is wonderful, although we liked the first nine holes better.
We also noticed the friendliness and mutual consideration of the other players. Overall, there is a very pleasant atmosphere in Haugschlag.
Conclusion: If you don't need a 5-star restaurant, are looking forward to three beautiful courses and enjoy varied rounds of golf, you're in good hands here.
