Enjoyable, great value round of golf!

Easy to find and get to. Friendly welcome from staff, caddies and other players.. Good driving range with very reasonable condition balls (15 baht per tray).
I tee'd off around 11am, only one other player on the course that I noticed, but was getting much busier when I finished my round at around 13:30.18 holes plus caddie cost me 500 baht (weekend and public holiday, cheaper during the week). Gave my caddie 500 baht tip, which was money well spent considering the distance she had to pull my clubs around and the amount of time she spent in the jungle searching for my errant tee-shots and it was New year's Day!
The course condition is of a good standard compared to the money you pay. Although I can imagine it being a struggle during the rainy season.
Overall I would highly recommend playing a round here if you are visiting or passing through Chumphon.

Very pleasant place. Topfeben, little water and no human soul.
Two players with rental racket, cart and two caddies for 2000 Bath (currently about 55 €). Apart from us, nobody else was on the golf course the whole time. The place is run by the Thai Army and unfortunately is right next to a major road. Foreign (not women probably :-)) play here probably not too often.
Thanks to our driver and other players help we could then organize the application. Briefly English language skills are absolute short supply here. But there is a notice board with prices and the rest is show and hope.
We had a cart along the we shared with our caddies. From booking till committed but with more than rudimentary information distance not beyond English Kent Nissen. Ok, I had no expectations here had.
All in all a nice and gebrauchbarer place of the "local" players also like it is played in 5/6 Flights for fun.
The fairways are fair, but just loaded with "hidden" water and drainage, as well as mature trees.
