What's the best way to ruin a beautiful place?

First of all: the layout of the place is very nice!

But what is the use if the course is not looked after? Even the first tee is covered in overgrown vegetation - especially the women's tee. Then you come to the green in the dogleg and see: grey-yellow!! The "green" is like concrete. Completely dried up, a terrible color and no ball sticks to it.

The course continues over fairways that have been mown, but the section remains lying there. This makes the course increasingly unplayable. On one of the next "greens" you will find the old flag position as a gaping hole. There is even a risk of injury here.

Then there are “greens” where there is still growth, but they were not mown or rolled. How are you supposed to putt here???

On a par 5 there was a crater landscape at least 50 meters long with old molehills that had been hastily removed.

It is shocking how a golf course can be allowed to deteriorate to such an extent. The operators seem to be hopelessly overwhelmed. And now they are probably running out of money...

Although we were served nicely, our first impression of the clubhouse was sobering.

If something were to happen here, we would love to play this course. But we don't have much hope!

Can you play but you do not

Played on April 27th, 2024. The flat 18-hole course is located about 90 km north of Stettin in absolute peace and nature. It is then another 14 km to the Baltic Sea. You should use a navigation system because there are no signs. Only an inconspicuous sign with the inscription "GOLF" on the access road indicates that this is the way to the golf club. Although the word road is extremely exaggerated. The way to the club is more like a bumpy dirt road. When you arrive at the small clubhouse, you are greeted as a guest and of course you can play here without a tee time. Nobody asks for a club ID. 220 Polish zloty (51 €) on the weekend and you're off. With the voucher from GolfAlbrecht you get a 20% discount. The nice man at the counter didn't know this, but gave me the discount immediately. Although the prices on the German side of the homepage are no longer up to date. Although the 220 zloty is a proud price for the condition of the course. Unfortunately, it was rather suboptimal. Lots of lions on the fairways, which were also badly mown. There were also some dandelions and unsightly spots on the greens. The bunkers had sand that was too wet and hard, and stones in the bunkers. The tees were unkempt, uneven and had a few holes. The rough was extremely dense and the paths between the tees and the fairways were not mown. Despite that, you could play the course, it's not like that. The layout is half parkland, half open. You keep going out and into the forest. Most of the bunkers defend the greens. On hole 3, you play along a small settlement. Here, the tee-off is over water, where you have to stretch a little. Most of the tee-offs are open. On holes 13 (dogleg) and 14 (PAR 3), precision is important, otherwise the ball will be wet or out of bounds. The layout is not uninteresting and certainly offers challenges. Play on a Saturday afternoon was very manageable. As a single player, I was able to start playing straight away without a tee time and only came across a flight of two on hole 13, but they let me play straight through. Otherwise, you could see a few players here and there. The clubhouse is rather rudimentary. There is a bar and apparently you can also get something to eat there. I didn't try it out. Toilets are in an adjacent building. I didn't see any changing rooms. There is also a driving range and a small, rather inconspicuous practice area. If you are nearby and don't expect a meadow, you can give it a try, but it is certainly not a must. I played the round in conjunction with a weekend trip to the Polish Baltic Sea. There are a few nice little towns with tourist infrastructure nearby.

2020

I would describe this place as rustic. The discounts on the first nine take getting used to. Otherwise a must if you are in the area. In any case, very interesting and varied everything the golfer loves.
