We played a round there when the weather was nice. Nice welcome, €50 per green fee, a fair price. The halfway hut, which we also used, is the best, but we found the state of maintenance to be less nice: there are cigarette butts lying around everywhere, the greenkeepers cut the palm trees weeks ago and all the dried branches are lying in piles everywhere, including in a bunker. Some of the rakes are broken, some women's tees are only provisional, fairways are so-so, the greens were good. And we also noticed the stench on one or two holes.

Played on 9/11/2021. The flat 18-hole course of the so-called Old Course (cart not required) is located in the south-westernmost tip of Spain, directly separated from Portugal only by the Guadiana River. Coming from the Spanish A49 or the Portuguese A22, take the first or last exit after / before the border and drive through Ayamonte, from which the square is located to the south. There is signage. There is also the Valle Guadiana Links north of the motorway from the same club / operator, which is rated separately by me. The parking lot for green fee players is approx. 200 m from the hotel / reception. The 18 lanes of the Old Course meander through a resort and past a nature park that is criss-crossed by natural water channels. The resort development bothers little but cannot be discussed completely. The tracks are laid out in an interesting way, but without the big highlights. Water comes into play several times, which maintains the tension. The second run is worth mentioning here. One or the other tree planting must also be taken out of the game. Sometimes the fairways are very open, trees such as pines, pines and particularly interesting pomegranate trees come into play. There are also many very beautiful new plantings. A few doglegs and well-placed bunkers complete the game. Incidentally, higher HC should rather choose the front tees in order to maintain the joy of playing. The condition was absolutely fine. The greens faithfully and, above all, quickly. The discounts were mostly tight, but otherwise okay. After 9 holes you are not directly back at the clubhouse, but a little away from it. On the 9th green there is a classic halfway house with toilets and a kiosk where you can get supplies for the back nine. There is a small toilet at the tee of the 6 and the 15. The smell that accompanies you from 13 to 18, depending on the wind direction, is a bit ugly. It comes from the sewage treatment plant that is located directly behind the road to the plant. Since the hotel is also located there, I don't know if I would definitely book there! The game on a sunny Saturday afternoon was brisk but not overcrowded. It was not until lane 14 that we ran into the flights that were playing in front of us and there was a little waiting time. We had booked a start time online via the homepage. € 99 for two people with a buggy is absolutely fine. There is a sundowner tariff online from 2 p.m. for an affordable € 35.50. You should definitely make a reservation online, as the regular green fee according to the homepage is almost twice as high and therefore rather expensive. The green fee is paid at the hotel reception, where there is also a mini pro shop for the essentials and a restaurant (not used). The restaurant toilets can also be used here, but they are very small and could have been cleaner for a hotel. The staff at the front desk were busy and friendly and handed over the key to the cart if booked. The cart was numbered and ready in front of the door. It was without GPS but otherwise OK. There was no water or anything else. The paths to tees 1 and 10 and to the driving range are signposted. There is also a building for the pro shop (closed) at tee 1 (PAR 3). There is nothing fundamental against a round on this resort course, hence the recommendation.
