Characteristics

The 45 hole golf complex opened its doors to the public in 2008. Greg Norman, the renowned Australian golfer has been involved in the design and development of the Lakes and Ruins golf courses at Lumine along with Alfonso Vidaor and Magí Sardà who have designed the Hills course.

The Lakes course: designed by Greg Norman (18 holes,Par 70), is a flat course with wetlands, situated in a protected nature area, where a number of lakes are in harmony with the strategy of the game. It is the most technical course of the three, and the biggest challenge for players. The course has a Mediterranean style club house with all of the services the game requires.

The Ruins course: also designed by Greg Norman (9 holes, Par 34), is an extensive, easy course, perfect for intermediate level players. Being the Ruins course, these 9 holes can be combined with 9 holes of either of the other two courses in periods of course maintenance.

The Hills course: designed by Alfonso Vidaor and Magí Sardà, (18 holes,Par 72), follows the natural contours of the gently sloping ground. It is made up of pinewoods and has wonderful sea views. Holes 13, 17 and 18 have been built into natural quarries that make a spectacular scenario for golf that is unique to this part of Spain. A second club house with restaurants, changing rooms and buggy hire is situated at this course.

Excellent all round

Have just returned from our golf trip to Salou. We played 4 rounds, two at Lakes and two at Hills. Our group are fortunate to go golfing abroad quiet regularly and we normally go to Portugal. We were a little apprehensive about going to Salou and did not know what to expect, were we surprised. From the minute we arrived at the course to the minute we left, everything was perfect. The staff who greeted us were extremely friendly and professional. The staff who checked us in were the same as were the starters and rangers. The staff o the course were extremely friendly, constantly smiling and stopped what they were doing immediately to allow us play without interference They all really made us feel welcome and appreciated.
The practise facilities were excellent and in perfect condition.
The courses were challenging, but fair and in very good condition. The rough was difficult but the fairways were wide enough, bad shots were punished and good shots rewarded. Greens were tricky but fair and true.
The clubhous facilities and restaurants were very good, again the staff and food were top class.
It was very obvious to us that a huge amount of effort and training has been put into creating a friendly, welcoming ethos and professional attitude in the staff, and it has worked!!!
I have never written a review before but felt obliged to because of how well we were treated.
Two things to be aware of 1. Mosquitoes 🦟
2. There is no buggy bar on course, but you pass through the clubhouse area after each 9 so you can restock.

Excellent Courses expensive rental clubs

Fantastics 3 courses. Mint condition. Fast greens, high quality standards in maintenance but very expensive extra services, like golf rental clubs. My first visit i rent it in the golf club, but second one I found a company in salou that make free delivery and pick up to your hotel and had good rates for rent for days or weeks. Great clubs, it was www. golfclubs4hiring. com

Lumine have 2 fantastic courses to play. Lakes and Hills are two diffrent courses and for my self I like lakes a little bit more. Really enjoyed them when we were here. Both courses was in verry good condition and fast greens.
