Characteristics
A challenging Golf Course in the wonderful New Forest Park in the South of England. The front 9 holes are a warm up for the best back 9 holes in the South of England, with risk and reward in equal measure. Each hole has a unique character and good Course management and intelligent shot choice is required too achieve a good score.
The Course is home to the famous hole 'The Beast' the only Par 6 at 666 yards long in the UK and which has been featured on television on the BBC and in many Golf publications.
Hamptworth was listed as a Top 50 Fun Course to play by Golf Monthly Magazine.

The only place with a PAR 6 I know.
The place was in good condition and really interesting to play with many slopes and hills. The staff were not the fastest, but at least friendly. The price / performance ratio was great. 20 pounds for 18 holes for a twighlight round. And then there is a quaint pub with good beer around the corner. What more do you want?
