Characteristics
The Monrepos golf course is situated at the edge of the Monrepos lake next to Hofkammer and Schlosshotel and forms part of a local recreation area. The course with a size of c. 90 acres consists of a 9-hole course and a spacious training area.
On the course, orchard meadows, oak trees, beeches, lime and maple trees were arranged . Around 12,000 sq yds of water features were newly created. Until the end of 2006, the course will be extended to 18 holes.

Very nice place with top secretariat and great course maintenance

First of all the remark:
The overall rating would actually have to be significantly better if the old ratings from up to 8 years ago were not taken into account.
I can't judge the conditions back then.
Since becoming a member in 2020, I can only say the best things about this golf club:
A super nice and professional secretariat team, very nice and well-maintained tracks (something for everyone) and a great club restaurant with top dishes.

We were easily rebooked by the very friendly club secretariat until 8 a.m. the next morning... (unfortunately we then had to pay the weekend rate, but don't worry about it.) Exploration of the castle grounds (including stables, winery) and clubhouse, which are well worth seeing.
The gastronomy in the clubhouse is a Swabian dream at great prices!!!
Be sure to try it out, but reserve in advance.
Otherwise it could get tight.
The front 9 of the course are relatively flat; easy to walk.
Some very nice tracks (3.4, 7.9) alternate with tracks that are less memorable.
The back 9 are a bit more physically challenging.
I liked holes 10,14 and 17 best.
However, it is a subjective opinion.
The associated hotel shines with cleanliness, excellent food and a very good bartender!
The only drawback:
Lanes 11 and 12 were unplayable due to damage from wild animals.
However, there was no reduction in the price...

We were playing in Monrepos at the beginning of October. Telephone reservations very friendly, reception and processing the next day as well.
Course was in good condition, the descriptions are correct regarding the difference between the first 9 (flat, parkland type) and the second 9 (hilly, "wilder"). Whereby one rather has to say on this side and on the other side of the autobahn, it's not all of the back-nine on the other side of the autobahn. This can be heard quite clearly on most holes, but comparatively monotonous as a background due to the volume of traffic.
