Characteristics
On the fairways around the castle Igling you can play golf in an impressive scenery. This jewel amongst the Bavarian golf courses was created in the middle of the large, open area between Lechfeld and the Alps. The demanding 9-hole course with a spacious driving range was integrated into the natural features of the landscape. The former agricultural building of the fairytale castle Igling was turned into a clubhouse with pro shop.

Wednesday 16.10.2019, a sunny day as suitable for a nice round of golf, we had chosen for this day the golf club Schloss Igling, and found a very quiet place in front of the car park, a few cars and on the course only a few players on the way.
After the friendly reception we went for a 9 hole round on the course, the place has the character of a small park, with some big trees, which stood in my way a bit in the way, but also helped me a lot.
The place was very well maintained on this day, only in some places the ground was very wet, due to the slightly wet weather of the past days.
The men tee of Tee 3, is located far back in the forest and consists of mats tees, here you have to try more accurate and straight to play, otherwise the ball lands in the adjacent forest.
From tee 5, you have a great view of the Bavarian mountains with Zugspitze and Co. even when the weather is nice.
All in all, nice place, for an afternoon or Feierabendrunde.

North of Landsberg, so unfortunately too far away from Munich, is this idyllic golf course.
There are numerous, non-shaded parking lots and then you enter the courtyard of the castle, which is located in private ownership, the small golfing office.
On weekends the green fee costs 9 holes € 35, - and for 18 holes € 65, whereby until 15 hours a handicap restriction of -36 applies!
Unfortunately, the office is only occupied by 17:00 at the latest, which should be considered if you do not have enough cash for the green fee.
Payment is possible with ec card.
The employee, on the 16.7. Could have been a bit more communicative and friendly.
Through the clubhouse and an old bridge you reach the driving range and the first tee over the moat.
On the way there is a refrigerator in the house, where you can drink water, apple scoop, milk and isotonic drinks. Nice idea!
The changing rooms were clean, but quite old (bake). Since I've seen more modern clubs ... "Next Tee" signs are missing, especially between holes 2 and 3. As locals, you can not find yourself without space.
There are fortunately little water hazards as well as bunker and the courses have normal and also for beginners well playable lengths.
However, webs 8 and 9 have it in themselves. I thought I was at the mountain...
And then there was not enough seats to rest.
I especially liked the shade, very old trees.
And the peace was wonderful, only at the first three holes and at 7 one hears a train from time to time, otherwise nothing. Glorious.

The friendly-powered Pro Shop and the Club premises are located in the courtyard that groups 9 tracks and training facilities around the castle. Beautifully maintained and challenging to play, especially track 2 with a narrow fairway gap and lane 3 with a narrow fairway with the yellow tee. Solved Not so happy the direct neighborhood of Green 1 and 2 tee and Green 3 and 4 tee here is tight and high play rush caution is offered here.
