Played (27 holes / yellow / blue / red) on 9.9.2020. The current 27-hole course with possibly an additional 9 holes (green course / PAR 31), another 9-hole PAR3 short course, driving range and large practice area as well as an attached hotel is located directly on the German border and is from Aachen, or Maastricht reached quickly. Some railways run right along the German border. By and large, all of the loops that exist are parkland, with some open lanes as well. You play away from traffic noise (except for a main road along the yellow 3 and 7) in peace and nature. A high stock of trees mostly characterizes the picture and makes one or the other tee narrow, e.g. first tee red course. There are also some water hazards (e.g. the 8 red course with island green). There are also some doglegs and well-placed bunkers, some of them in the form of pot bunkers. There are some elevated tees, although I basically did not find the course hilly, even if it sometimes goes a little up and down. Carts are available but are not necessary for normal athletes. Basically, the tracks on all three loops are varied. Higher HC should also be able to cope with strategic play, but pack a few balls in addition, since lost balls are difficult to find in the dense undergrowth to the right and left of the lanes. Real rough is rarely found. The condition was generally okay, especially the greens were good, fast and often undulating. One or the other tee or one or the other fairway could look better due to some bald spots, but it was absolutely playable. The access to the club is currently difficult or awkward due to a large construction site. For this purpose, some roads were rebuilt around the site, so that older navigation systems could have difficulties. When you have found the parking lot (secured by barriers), you go across the street to the hotel reception (not to the secretariat / pro shop) and pay the currently appropriate green fee of € 60 on weekdays or € 70 on weekends for 18 holes. If you want to play 27 holes, you pay an additional € 40, which in my opinion is € 10 too much. The ladies at the reception are friendly and speak German. For the exit from the parking lot after the round you need a token that you get at the reception. On the driving range (teeing off only possible from mats) you can pull balls with euro pieces, which, however, have already had their best days, but are playable. With such a large facility with a hotel and restaurant (not tested), it is inevitable that it is a little business-like with a lot of activity. When I played on a sunny Wednesday, it was quite crowded on the pitch. I arranged tee times two days in advance by email. There is a separate start time for each loop, so there may be an involuntary break after 9 holes. As a single player, I was not assigned to existing two or three-way flights, so I played alone and then got accrued relatively quickly and there were waiting times every now and then. But mostly I was let through or people joined forces on the round. Due to the border region and the hotel, there is an international game operation. If you are in the vicinity, looking for a sporting challenge and do not expect a perfectly manicured noble facility, a visit is definitely recommended.

Athletic space is a big challange. Of the Backtees he is one of the worst places I have ever played. The quality of the greens is usually the severity of the fairways not angepast. The Blue and Yellow Course is preferable to the red and green on each case. The practice facilities are excellent.
