Characteristics
Tespelduyn is ideally located approx. 20 minutes from both Amsterdam and The Hague; it is a very challenging par 32 golf course with 9 holes covering a distance of 1825 meters and very diverse.
The difference in the elevation gradient of 23 meters makes this golf course very special and extra challenging for every golfer.
The beautiful ponds, water hazards and bunkers make for optimal challenges in the fairways and around the greens. The complete course is facilitated by excellent drainage and sprinkling systems which keeps the course playable throughout the whole year. The elevated holes are characterized by the beautiful panoramic views across the flower bulb fields.

Have played the course because of the supposedly great view and location.
We knew beforehand that he wasn't particularly demanding from a golfing point of view and that was also confirmed.
The view from the 3 was quite nice. However, we were there in August and have elevations higher than 23 meters at home.
It may be that the experience in March when the tulips are in bloom is different.
The long distances between the holes were annoying, our cart, which we were lucky to have, drove about 2km/h.
The start time we got was probably screwed up by the lady on the phone when we made the reservation.
We had to start from 6 instead of 1 because of a tournament that was taking place, which in itself wouldn't have been so bad if there hadn't been 4 flights on 1, of which everyone was surprised, which of course was one resulted in a huge traffic jam.

Yes, "only" 9 holes and "only" par 31 - but an extraordinary golf experience! But the tee on the 3, from the highest point of the whole area, the 23 m high Terp, down into the lowlands, the view from up here, the Serpentinenweg down to the fairway - all quite unique.
At the time of the tulip blossom absolutely incomparable view!
The purely golfing claim is of course manageable, on two lanes water on the fairway strategically comes into play. The entire area extremely well maintained with horticultural demanding lots.
Because of the steep ascents and descents and partly further ways to the next tee a cart is recommended.
Very well maintained clubhouse with a small park, nice terrace, good food.
Conclusion: a special experience! Who makes a few days holiday on the Dutch coast, should treat yourself to this trip!
