We refer to the previous reviews and were very surprised that nothing has changed in terms of maintenance in recent years. Unfortunately, the fairways were covered in daisies and the white balls were hard to find - in some cases it was hard to see where the fairways began and where they went. In front of us was a flight of 5 with 4 bags and not one ball was even remotely playable - unfortunately there was no sign of a marshal. It's a shame, because if the course was looked after a little better it would be well worth playing. The course goes around the chateau and has some cool holes with a beautiful view of the castle and the greens, some of which are right next to the castle wall.

The new Scottish manager Denis has already made a difference! If you take the extremely hot and dry summer as a basis, we found that the place has a 3 in maintenance condition. Only green 1 was over, the rest of the greens were not too fast but neat. The fairways are currently burned out everywhere in France, you can not blame the place / club.
A car is recommended on the very hilly and partly extensive terrain. The design and layout is good and spectacular in parts around the chateau! I've played some impressive chateau courses in the castle park all over Europe, but it's never been so often right up against the castle wall...! Lanes 1 - 11 and 17 & 18 are some absolutely spectacular! We played the course as a sundowner with €39 plus €10 (1/2Car). Anyone who loves parkland golf and chateaux shouldn't miss this course, which we believe is on a new path in course maintenance!

We played the course in August and had a long journey. Unfortunately, this was not worth it in any way. The layout, especially of the front 9, is really nice and would be fun if it were playable. In my more than 20 years of playing practice, I cannot remember having played such a dry and unkempt course at this level... Since it is very hilly and sloping, it is purely a matter of luck where the ball hits and then bounces. Even the most beautiful layout is of no use if chance dominates the game. The back 9 are rather unspectacular, but were just as dry. Of course, you don't expect a five-star level in the Schlosshotel. So the rooms were okay for the price. The breakfast is extremely modest. Dinner was just bland and uninspired. The green fee is cheap at € 50, but still too expensive in view of the maintenance condition. You can tell everywhere that there are no capacities or resources available to hold what is basically a nice place in the necessary form... It's a pity, actually.
