Characteristics
The open championship course is situated in the midst of the Alps and has a beautiful alpine panorama to offer, that reaches from the Matterhorn over the Monte Rosa, the Mont Blanc to the Bernese Alps. The fairways are very varied, have sideward groups of trees, partly slopes and well-placed bunkers.

Top place, bad clubhouse

I played the course on the Monday after the Omega European Masters. The condition of the place was accordingly excellent! The course is beautifully situated on a plateau in Crans-Montana. Most of the holes have breathtaking views of the mountains. The one point deduction is for the clubhouse. For a DP World Tour place, the standard should actually be higher.

This year we got the opportunity to play Crans again: Despite the many rainy phases, the course is already in excellent condition in the run-up to the Omega European Masters. We enjoyed the ambiance and the feeling of being on a course where the "really big" players will compete in two weeks' time to have reached one or the other par was special. The really only negative was the slow game of the flight in front of us. All in all an extraordinary experience.

I played the course 2 times at the end of June. After a professor tournament had taken place 3 days earlier, the course was in excellent condition. Especially the greens should be highlighted, ultra-fast and true to track. The scenery also showed itself from its most beautiful side. Simply a pleasure to play this course under optimal conditions. What unfortunately does not do justice to the place is the clubhouse. Old and neglected, the toilets the last. And then the kitchen. Not only is the price-performance ratio not right here, but the kitchen is really bad. Here it is worth walking a few meters and going to a nearby restaurant.
