Iddylic surroundings
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 25, 2015
This course is quite straight forward and situated amongst the beautiful surroundings of the Japanese Cedar trees, in particular. It is quite flat and a lovely course to walk at the best of times. Greens are medium to small but importantly are pretty consistent from one to the other in terms of speed. Facilities are neat and very adequate with friendly staff. This course is good for the soul and you will leave in better spirits than when you arrived.

Interesting, but getting old
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 14, 2019
The course itself convinced by the quite varied design of the holes, the interesting (wavy) greens and beautiful nature.
That hole 15 is also used as a driving range, is special, but quite practical and clever. And with the few golfers on the course no problem.
The condition is ok, but nothing more. On our day it drizzled permanently. Sliced grass clung to clubs and shoes and was bundled up to the green.
The trolleys are quite new, the clubhouse certainly not. The old tube TV shows new golf channels, but is not the only relic from better times. Whether the clubhouse has ever sprayed charm? Certainly not during our visit. In sunshine, this may be different?
The lady in the barren Proshop, however, was a real ray of light. Friendly and even very communicative for local conditions.
That we met on our otherwise quiet round a 6-flight with Scandinavians, was somehow a bad joke. Not more...
If you want cheap green fees (62 instead of 72 EUR), you should book online. Attention: Works depending on the provider only with 24/48 hours lead, but otherwise works flawlessly.

Discerning place
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 21, 2018
You should have played the course. Precise play is an advantage here. Greens are heavily undulating and sometimes quite small. Rides are pretty wavy. Sometimes you do not see exactly the way from the tee. Old trees and pretty plant. Both places from San Miguel are worth a visit.

Great Place
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 26, 2013
A great place with many interesting paths. The greens are very undulating and were in really good condition, so that the putt is fun.
I only have to complain about the bunker, which had only a very thin layer of sand. In addition, the sand was full of small stones.
It is worth to play this course in any case.

Parkland Course Stress
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed March 9, 2013
The second place on the island is located in the island surrounded by meadows for cows. On the whole, the cow is visually and also by the ever present smell her on the island.
The place is nt a bit tight. The driving range is a real risk for a train. The trees is so dense and high in parts of the place - no chance to rueber to play. Such trees I have not seen before. The club house is modest but ok Necessarily play!

Challenging golf in a beautiful location
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 28, 2012
The course in Furnas is located about 45 minutes away on good roads from the capital ausgebauen Ponte Delgado. Here the climate is cooler and windier. Unlike in Batalha still missing, although the sea. Nevertheless, the park-like place is worth a visit in any case. The paths are bordered with mature trees and rolling fairways, water hazards and deep bunkers some extremely challenging. You have finally reached the greens, wait even real "roller coasters" on the golfer. The system is, like the other investment Bathala, valid green fee Pakekte be booked in a top-maintained condition, and it can spot for both courses.

Azores - unendecktes golf destination
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 22, 2009
We were there from 16.07. to 20.07.2009 for 4 days in the Azores and on the golf courses of Bathala UDN Furnas came across two gorgeous golf courses. The golf courses were in very good condition and care besides us was almost no other golfer to see - a real gem!
