Nice club and nice atmosphere. The fairway is in good condition but in some places it is too dry and even the ground is already visible. The greens are not difficult and have medium speed.

Huge, very well-kept facility

Foxhills has three golf courses: the two 18-hole championship courses "Longcross" and "Bernhard Hunt" as well as the PAR 3 course "The Manor" with 9 holes. I played the "Longcross".
Very friendly welcome at the starter house and enthusiastic explanation of what to expect on the pitch and how to play it ;-). The "Bernhard Hunt" is said to be the longer course, "Longcross" the shorter one, but mostly narrower and therefore more precise to play. Very nice, well maintained parkland course. What started out as a rather "boring" layout became more and more interesting and my enthusiasm grew from hole to hole. I enjoyed the round - let's hide the score ;-). I played with about 38 year old clubs including hickory woods and a very basic putter.
Foxhills is probably one of the more "exclusive" clubs in South West London/Surrey. I can't say anything about the green fee prices because I was allowed to play for free at the invitation of a greenkeeper. But compared to the prices in comparable clubs, the round should easily cost around 150-200 euros. But that would be way too expensive for me. He wasn't that extraordinary after all...

One of the best golf courses in England

In 2019 and in 2020 - each August - my wife and I stayed at Foxhills Golf and Country Club for a week. Both the 18-hole Parkland Course (Bernard Hunt) and the 18-hole Forest Course (Longcross) play excellently and are very varied. The condition of fairways and greens is at a very high level. The 9-hole par 3 manor course (free for hotel guests) is also very nice for a short round in between. There are no handicap requirements on any of the 3 courses. We stayed at Foxhills Golf Hotel during our stay and felt very comfortable there. The Executive Garden Rooms are particularly recommended (quiet and spacious). The driving range (covered) and practice area were also very good! We'll be back in 2022!
