Situated in the province of Huelva, on the western side of Andalusia Golf El Rompido blends into the natural site of the Wetlands of River Piedras. El Rompido is the only golf course in the region with 36 holes (north course and south course) and no property developments surrounding it. Its two 18-hole courses, surrounded by pine and orange groves, cross the wetlands and open out onto the Atlantic Ocean with some spectacular views, giving those who play it a unique experience.The force of nature is evident with every step, turning the sport of golf into a pleasure for the senses.

Played both courses with my wife in mid to late December, 9x South and 8x North in 11 days. (HC 9 and 17) Excellent condition; top fairways and greens!!
The layout at both courses is very good and the back nine at both courses is very tricky and super interesting.
For 200m drives the fairway is often the narrowest... strategy, placement and thinking helps!!
Pro shop very friendly, one or two of the caddy masters were top but also flops. Hotel and food OK. Surroundings/outings; El Rompido downton very small and nice. Huelva, Cartaya, Isla Cristina etc. not worth a visit... top level golf but outings and surroundings poor.
We have played Sherry Golf, condition and layout are poor but the outcome is top notch.

We played the courses on September 20th and 21st, 2023 as part of a company tournament.
The condition was generally okay, but the tees were quite bumpy.
What was very annoying on the south course was that, in addition to many of the tracks, there were hiking trails with noisy tourists running past, or the tracks were right next to the hotel complex with pool operations and tourists sometimes "got lost" on the course! The paths from the green to the next tee were sometimes quite long.
The signage for Tee1 on the North Course doesn't say that you have to walk there for about 10 minutes! (Of course you have to walk the whole way back after the 18th!) What's actually not possible: course maintenance during a tournament! The negative highlight was a team that turned off the machines as we approached the green, but started them up again to work through the bunkers while we were putting - no go!!
The signage about the nature of the south course was well-intentioned, but some of it was no longer legible - it urgently needs to be renewed!
The staff in the restaurant couldn't be surpassed in terms of unfriendliness :-(
