Characteristics
Duff House Royal is a challenging par 68 for Gents or a par 72 for Ladies. It is bounded by the River Deveron, which proves to be a hazard at a number of holes. Duff House Royal has achieved an excellent reputation for providing an outstanding course with large MacKenzie two-tiered and double greens.
It was redesigned in 1923, by the legendary Dr Alister MacKenzie, who also designed the world famous Augusta National, Home of The Masters. Duff House Royal still, till this day, retains the design set out by MacKenzie.
Although close to the sea, the course is a flat, beautifully manicured parkland course with little rough, many well positioned bunkers and trees, which make the course a severe but fair challenge to golfers of all abilities.
Nestling in the middle of the course is Duff House, considered one of the grandest classical country houses built in the 18th century and designed by William Adam.

Visitors are always made to feel extremely welcome at Duff House Royal Golf Club.
Bookings for general tee times can be made via our online booking system. All visitors should check-in at the Professional’s shop before play.
The club has a dedicated visitor locker room and changing area. Shower facilities are available within the visitor changing rooms. Visitors are encouraged to follow the Royal Etiquette whilst guests at the club.
Visiting parties are more than welcome with our venue providing a first class location for society outings and corporate days out. Special rates are available and can be obtained by contacting the club via email or by telephoning 01261 812062.
For golfers wishing to play multiple rounds during your time in the area there are lockers available for hire within the visitor changing area. (coin operated) To reserve a locker please contact the club office on 01261 812062.

The fairways were partially soaked in water for a night by raining. Nevertheless, a pleasant, not too heavy Parkland-style place right on the coast. Maintenance and equipment could be a bit better in general. Pro Shop small; competent staff. Clubhouse line with expectations. Gladly again.
