Designed by Peter Harradine and unveiled in 1997, the 7374-yard 18-hole Championship Course and floodlit 9-hole Academy Course provide a variety of challenges that will appeal to both the novice golfer and the seasoned professional. 8 strategically positioned lakes, 65 giant cacti, numerous imposing limestone rock formations and an abundance of lush and lengthy green fairways present a startling contrast to the desert that lies beyond.
Doha Golf Club is also home to the annual European Tour Commercialbank Qatar Masters presented by Dolphin Energy with Doha's Championship Course proving to be one of the longest par 72 courses on the tour.

I was playing here, today, from 9 a.m. Unfortunately, due to QATAR MASTERS, buggies were not available. I was playing from the championships tees and it was a long way, even I was in a good shape (10 rounds in the last 2 weeks) . Club house is very nice, the staff is very warm, in the bar you can get alcoholic drinks (which for DOHA is not so usually) , pro shop is ok. They have good facilities for pitching, chipping and putting, and of course for bunker as well. The driving range is big enough and you don't need any tokens or coins for balls. All the distances are in yards, from the point to the FRONT OF GREEN. The fairways are very fast, and greens too. The semi-rough is quite ok, but rough is a little bit more dificult, than in EUROPE, for an example. The water hazards are not so friendly but the really big problem are the bunkers, where is very difficult to get your ball, because the sand is so bright!!!
Tips : buy a score card, it worths!
Second : if you are not able to play darts with your Driver, leave it at home. Is useless...
