...two faces...

...this simple, flat course designed by Ron Garl.

The first nine have been preserved in their original form, with long, extremely narrow tee shapes, flat fairways, and smaller green bunkers and greens.
The back nine have more modern shapes, raised tees and greens, large bunkers and greens, and marginal fairway modeling - they were rebuilt not too long ago.

We were not so happy with the course maintenance; the first nine had major deficits in the entire playing area, including the greens. Balls had to be placed several times.
The back nine were much better, the area in front of the green was often muddy and deep.
The greens were soft and the cups were badly cut - volcanic edges!!!
We didn't hit any bunkers!

The Car Path are first-class bumpy roads - avoid them - unavoidable...

The first nine gets a weak two stars, the back nine gets a decent three stars.

We had to flip a coin - two or three stars.
