Characteristics
You play in a typical Majorcan countryside on an excellent maintained 18-hole-course (Par 73). The course is suitable for all levels, but also offers a lot of difficult holes with a number of challenges for stronger players.
The first nine holes are slightly hilly, but "blind" strokes remain the exception. The most difficult tasks are to be solved on the very undulating green 2 and at hole 9, where a small stone house is standing right in the middle of the fairway.
The back nine, however, are almost completely flat, but no less challenging. Again, the fast and undulating greens require highest concentration, two lakes (lanes 13 and 17, each par 5) have to be cleared and on the 3-level-green at the 18th (par 3, 160 m for men and 137 m for women) near the magnificent clubhouse terrace your score your score may once again be in danger.
Tip: Enjoy your round at Canyamel on one of the most beautiful courses of Mallorca. And if you want to achieve a good score, you should spend some time on the putting green before your round!

- Warm welcome at the reception.
- Beautiful and stylish club house / pro shop.
- The very helpful caddy master brought us the sandwiches ordered earlier by phone. And he even cleaned our clubs before we played. Thank you Fernando!
- The 18th hole was under maintenance/construction => provisional winter-green.

A course worthwhile playing

We are a group of experienced players, handicaps between -10 to -20. Our standard is quite high since we have been playing courses on four continents. Canyamel is a fine course. Even though it rained quite a bit during the last few days, the course presented itself very well. The fairways were in decent shape and the greens were excellent. The design of the course is good except for the holes 12,13 and 14. When you are in the area and you look for an above average course, Canyamel is a very good choice.
