Three courses!

Masters - is what you can expect from a EuropeanTour Course. Great!!
Donald Steel - Was almost as good in condition as the Masters course. The last nine are the toughest of all at Barsebäck!
Litorina - An average Pitch&Putt course. Play level par and your short games is pretty good!

Scandinavian world class

After 2008 & 2013 I was again in Barsebäck with 7 golf friends.
Everything renovated, pro shop & reception as well as clubhouse & bar.
The ladies at reception were very friendly and flexible. In general, all the staff were very helpful and attentive.

Pines Course:
The revamped (formerly Steel Course) "B Course" in the Barsebäck Resort has 4-8 holes that could be here in Ndb./Obb. The rest 1-3 and 9-18 are only slightly inferior to the Ocean Course. These pine holes with very good greens are definitely among the top 20 in Skane, which means a lot in the battle of quality and design! A strong 4 points for the Pines Course!

Ocean Course:
The Solheim Cup, formerly known as the Master Course, has a special meaning for us Reisbach golfers from Lower Bavaria. Liesl Esterl, the Reisbach golf legend and PGA professional golfer, was the first German participant in the Solheim Cup, which was held at the time in Skane in Barsebäck on the Masters Course (now Ocean)!
It often happens to me that on a 2nd or 3rd visit I find the place weaker!
But the hybrid course of forest and links fairways just seems to be getting better and better!
Course maintenance, layout, design, backdrop and everything else is world class!!!
For me, Barsebäck (against so many official rankings) is still in the top 5 of all golf courses in continental Europe and clearly Sweden's No. 1 - even ahead of Bro Hof Slott (Stadium), Ullna, Halmstadt & Sand GK (all already played).
36 holes in one day with a buggy in midsummer. Barsebäck Ocean is a 6-star course, every travel golfer should play this course at least once!
…by the way, our Liesl scored 1.5 points against the USA in Barsebäck!
For me (almost 1000 places) Barsebäck Ocean remains in the top 15!!!

Really nice place but not worth the high price

First of all: we were really looking forward to this ocean course. In this respect, the price was not an issue for us. However, we had to realize that only three tracks are actually located by the sea. All other tracks, relatively unspectacular, are in the pine forest. We were really a little disappointed that this place wasn't a challenge at all. We played Degeberga on the other hand and found him much more interesting and sporty.
To mention was that the staff was more than really friendly and the restaurant was excellent. The view from the terrace with the sunset was a dream. But actually we wanted to play golf.

Definitely a recommendation

We played both courses (Masters or Ocean and Pine or Steel) in June this year as part of a matchplay week.

The seats were in very good condition. Unfortunately, the range can only be played on from mats, so a small point deduction.

Two practice greens that are as fast as an arrow are located between the pro shop and the restaurant and a good pitching area behind hole 18 of the Pine course.

The Pine/Steel course is the closer of the two courses.
As a single HC player or long hitter, you should rarely use the driver here.
But as the name suggests, you basically play a kind of parkland course through pine forests. If a ball is warped, you can usually find it and continue playing, since there is almost no rough anywhere.
I haven't lost a ball there in 4 rounds.

The greens were super fast and the bunkers were very easy to play. Because the system uses rakes for the bunkers, which are also used on the tour, the bunkers can then be quickly restored to perfect condition. One or the other track must be played blindly or knocked off

The Ocean/Masters course has a similar structure, but is much broader. Here you can often pull out the driver.
The course probably has its name because 3-4 lanes run directly by the sea. There is also a bit of rough here, although this is also playable.
You have a wonderful view of the sea... and usually the right wind to go with it.

The gastronomy is okay. It lives above all from the view from the terrace of the 3 lanes of the Ocean Course running along the sea.
The prices - like in general in Sweden - pretty tight.

Green fee about 100 EUR and can only be paid by card (like almost everything in Sweden now - the credit card should be well filled)

Conclusion:
If you're going golfing in the Malmö area, it's definitely worth making a detour.

Light and Shadow

Played the Ocean Course. The layout is very nice, especially the holes inside the pine trees. If you want to play by the sea, Ljunghusen's is the much better course. The shadow refers to the condition of the course in relation to the €120 green fee. Shredded haircuts and untouched divots are just unacceptable for this price. As a result, the fun of the game suffered significantly.

For 120€ “more” expected…

As a parkland (Höslwang) and mountain fan (Reit im Winkel) I thought Ocean Course would be it.
Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed only 3 holes by the sea (9-11). Not particularly spectacular either. Just a long time.
The rest is also not particularly tingling back and forth through the pine forests. Except for hole 8.
For the sporty €120 (Fri-Sun) I had expected “more”.
The highlight is definitely hole 19, with the view of the sea from the club terrace you don't want to get up anymore

Ingenious space

Have played the wind and sun the Masters Course in August 2017.
The place leaves nothing to be desired - it does not go any better.
The layout is fantastic, the condition is good.
The greens super fast and maximum sprinting.

Highest Quality

The Master Course impressed by his top quality haircuts, FW, Vorgreens, bunker sand and the beautiful greens. It is usually located in the open trees and the great difficulty is the often enormous length of the holes. Strategic bunker it has rarely, at most de greens.

Quiet Forest and windy beach area

In June 2013, we have played the Master Course. Again, we felt the swedish hospitality quickly. The first 9 holes run quietly through the woods and then it goes for a few holes in the beach area down. There it was then all of a sudden on a link-Course and fought with the wind. A very good, varied course.

Beautiful place

Have played the Masters Course in July 2012. Beautiful, interesting course. Many paths through beautiful pine forests, with excellent fairways. Lane 8 with elevated tee over a pond to the deep green with wonderful views of the Baltic Sea. After 3 strips along the sea. Caution, deep bunkers and tall grass.
Green fee expensive, but worth it!

Grand Place

We can play the Masters Course shortly before the removal of the SAS Masters. Therefore the place was already in excellent condition. The place offers some links trains to beautiful parkland tracks everything the golfer fun.
