This review is part of my travel blog from our vacation. Alands Golf was our seventh golf stop on our roadtip. It quickly become our primary target after some dissapointment in Finland. To find course its easy with google maps. Arriving I already seen that I will enjoy game there. We parked at their big parking lot were we had reserve spot for our camper, despite some trouble second day, when some lazy member needed to park close to storage and blocked it for us till late night.
So hospitality there was unbelievable, felt like home, checking were easy and very helpful, were able to use my golfpiste card, so I save some money on fee. Bit higher price for buggy, but it was needed in hot weather. Training facilities are big enough just in front of clubhouse and restaurant. First game were at Slottsbanan. I love, there were only few holes which I do not remember now, from 1st one ist funny with many intereresting shots, you never get bored. Back nine is probably more interesting that fron one for me. Signature hole, difficult to say, probably 9th and 10th, and for sure 15th. Quality of the greens were not excelent yet, but it was OK, fairways and teeboxes were fine. I would for sure come back one day. Next day I played Kungsbanan. I was paired with pair of local ladies, who start with golf last year, so it was lot of fun. Once gaian layout was very nice and interesting but quality were a bit behind Slotts course, but I was warned by reception. Im not sure which holes to choose as signature on this course from my point, but I liked par 3 there and 18th.
What is specific for Alands courses is that they do not have 9th holes at clubhouse and also 18th holes are a bit far from audience for the tournament. Thanks for hospitality and I can recommend and hope to come back one day.
